No more sun

Grey, hot and humid today. The piles of bales were unstacked to get some air, then all the hay that had been soaked and squashed by the storm was fluffed up and turned. 8 trips with the car and trailer to load, unload then stack the 123 bales in Paul's barn, then with rain looking increasingly likely, all the hay was raked back into windrows - more to let the ground beneath dry than to protect the damp hay from another soaking.
Grass all gone from here!
But will this ever dry?

My back held out until I tried to take a sock off to have a shower when I pulled it again. Some urgent work at John and Sandrine's gite and now at 6.00pm I can relax...until tomorrow morning. Weather forecast is now for fine mornings and stormy afternoons for at least next 4 days. Probably the remaining hay is a write-off, but I have to try to save it.
The only appearance of the sun today

No doubt the next week will be frustrating and exhausting.
